Ann Duncan

When Ann Duncan moved into The Chesapeake in 2002, she brought hundreds of years of history with her. From a portrait of her great-great grandfather to photos of her former home located right here in Hampton Roads, her apartment is filled with memories and keepsakes. Each one has its own story and you just can‘t help but ask her to tell it. A bullet hole is prominent in one photo of her great, great uncle. During the Civil War, his home was invaded and the perpetrators were upset because he wasn‘t at home. In his absence, they shot the photo. Ann chose The Chesapeake after friends recommended it. Her beautiful apartment is the perfect place for her weekly card games, and since moving in she’s become famous for her wonderful holiday parties.
